Where to stay

While Kaneohe and Kailua are probably closest to stay, Kualoa Ranch can be easily reached from Downtown Honolulu, Waikiki, or Hawaii Kai as well. Depending on the length of your stay and your vacation plan, different areas, either hotels or Airbnb come into consideration.

We are here to help - let us know!

Waikiki
45 - 60 min to Kualoa Ranch

Few stretches of sand are as renowned as this two-mile length spanning the south shore of Honolulu, where Hawaiian royalty once frolicked. Visitors will find themselves basking in Waikiki Beach’s beauty, tempted for a swim or surf by its calm and shallow waters. Watch cotton candy sunsets while sipping a cocktail, or find numerous boutiques and stylish eateries. It's a tropical catwalk - slippers (flipflops) mandatory.

Kane'ohe
20 - 30 min to Kualoa Ranch

Welcome to Kane'ohe - welcome to our wedding!

In the Hawaiian language, "Kane'ohe" means "bamboo man." Kane'ohe is one of the largest residential communities on the windward coast of Oahu. Attractions in Kane'ohe include the Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden and three golf courses. Beautiful Kane'ohe Bay is one of the most photographed spots on the island. Kayak to Chinaman's hat (picture) or the Sandbar, which partially emerges during low tide. Go horseback riding on Kualoa Ranch or go on a hiking adventure.

Kailua
30 - 40 min to Kualoa Ranch

Oahu's Kailua, meaning "two seas" or "two currents," is named after either the two lagoons located on the island or the two currents that run through Kailua Bay. Steady trade winds make Kailua Beach a great windsurfing and kite-flying destination. Kailua Beach Park features pristine white sand and views of the offshore island known as Moko nui or "two islands."

Hawaii Kai
50 - 60 min to Kualoa Ranch

Hawaii Kai located on Oahu's south shore is the largest of several residential communities at the southeastern end of the island. Hawaii Kai features one of our favorite hikes Kokohead Stairs. It's short but spicy! Hawaii Kai is located along Maunalua Bay. The bay is popular among jet skiers, parasailers, and boaters, but not among swimmers since the nearshore ocean bottom is shallow and has a reef. Go cliff jumping at China Walls or hang out at Koko Marina.

Honolulu/Downtwon
35 - 45 min to Kualoa Ranch

As Hawaii’s state capital, the largest city across the islands, and the most remote major city in the world, Honolulu has long been the most famous and popular gateway into the Hawaiian experience. With a population of nearly 1 million residents, Honolulu thrums with diversity and energy, and a lush surrounding landscape and gentle aquamarine shores frame its populous high-rise skyline. Honolulu is 10-15 minutes from the airport, and a fairly walkable city, with buses, taxis, rideshares, and even a hop-on, hop-off trolley serving the heart of the city.

North Shore
50 - 60 min to Kualoa Ranch

If the perfect wave exists, you’ll find it on Oahu’s North Shore. The towering, glassy winter waves of this legendary surf mecca draw the best surfers in the world, while smaller and gentler summer waves are better for beginners. Stretching for more than 7 miles, the beaches of the North Shore host the world’s premier surfing competitions during the peak winter months. From May to September, the waves subside, creating a more tranquil atmosphere for surfing and swimming.

Roughly a one-hour drive from Waikiki, the North Shore is also home to a variety of accommodation options, including condo rentals and the exclusive beachside Turtle Bay Resort. Take a little road trip to the charming surf town of Haleiwa Town, where you can shop, eat like a local, and cool off with rainbow-flavored shave ice.
